Service Description
End Product + Design Documents + Production Documents
This radar-based sensor utilizes true-presence FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) technology to reliably detect both moving and stationary objects. Designed with a narrow beam pattern and high sensitivity, it offers precise target detection while minimizing interference from surrounding areas.
Key features include:
- Adjustable detection range and sensitivity, allowing the sensor to ignore objects beyond a user-defined threshold.
- Simple configuration via DIP switches for quick setup of range, sensitivity, and output parameters.
- Environmental resilience, ensuring consistent operation regardless of wind, rain, snow, fog, humidity, extreme temperatures, or lighting conditions.
- Operates within the ISM (Industrial, Scientific, and Medical) band, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.
- Encased in a durable IP67-rated housing for long-lasting performance in harsh environments.
Ideal for use in traffic monitoring, security systems, industrial automation, and outdoor detection applications.
- Sensing Range: 12m
- Minimum Zone: 2m
- Maximum Zone: 12m

- B8 Not Used
Specifications
- Range: The sensor is able to detect a proper object (see Detectable Objects) from 1 to 12 m (3.3 to 39.4 ft), depending on target
- Detectable Objects: Objects containing metal, water, or similar high-dielectric materials
- Operating Principle: Frequency modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) radar
- Operating Frequency: 24.075–24.175 GHz, ISM Band
- Maximum Output Power:
- ERP: 3.3 mW, 5 dBm
- EIRP: 100 mW, 20 dBm
- Supply Protection Circuitry: Protected against reverse polarity and transient overvoltages
- Connections: Integral 5-wire 2 m (6.5 ft) cable or M12 Euro-style QD fitting. QD models require a mating cordset
- Supply Voltage: 12 to 30 V dc, less than 100 mA, exclusive of load
- Indicators:
- Power LED: Green (power ON)
- Signal Strength LED: Red, flashes in proportion to signal strength.
Steady on at 4x excess gain. Only indicates signal amplitude, not
target distance. - Output LEDs: Yellow (output energized) / Red (configuration)
