Project Experience
Dual-Band Medical Patch Antenna (2023)
- Designed a dual-band 2.45 GHz and 5.8 GHz compact microstrip patch antenna for wearable ECG monitoring.
- Used CST to simulate SAR, impedance, and efficiency on a 3-layer human phantom.
- Delivered 3D EM model, S11/VSWR plots, radiation patterns, and a full design document.
- Efficiency: 76% at 2.4 GHz, 70% at 5.8 GHz; return loss < –15 dB on both bands.
Miniature LoRa Antenna for Smart Grid Meters (2022)
- Developed a 868 MHz antenna for LoRa-based AMI meter, integrated directly into the PCB.
- Focused on compactness (<15 mm length) and high efficiency under a metal housing.
- Validated design via HFSS and FEKO cross-simulation for confidence.
- Delivered: simulation files, tuning curves, and full production-ready DXF layout.
Microwave Rectenna for Energy Harvesting (2021)
- Created 5.8 GHz rectenna system for RF energy scavenging in industrial sites.
- Co-simulated antenna and RF-DC rectifier using CST and ADS.
- Optimized SMS7630 diode matching and delivered >65% conversion efficiency at –5 dBm input.
Radar Front-End Subsystem (Remote Consultancy, 2019)
- Designed transmitter/receiver pair for Ku-band radar array prototype.
- Simulated microstrip filter and matching for patch array integration.
- Delivered ADS schematics, bill of materials, and ADS .dsn project files.
