Project Description
We are looking for a freelancer to design and optimize a compact antenna structure suitable for low-power IoT devices operating in two frequency bands:
- 2.4 GHz (Wi-Fi/BLE)
- 868 MHz (ISM, LoRa, Sub-GHz)
The freelancer will deliver a documented, optimized antenna design along with radiation patterns, S-parameters, and a short report explaining the design process and performance metrics.
🎯 Objectives:
- Design a compact dual-band antenna with dimensions suitable for embedded IoT devices (e.g., < 40 × 40 mm area)
- Target frequency bands: 868 MHz ± 10 MHz, 2.4 GHz ± 50 MHz
- Perform full-wave simulations: S11 vs frequency, 2D radiation patterns for both bands, Optional: efficiency and gain data
- Optimize design for PCB-based integration
- Document the antenna with: Geometry screenshots, Performance graphs, Design explanation
📦 Deliverables:
- Simulation files (e.g., CST, HFSS, or similar)
- STL or DXF/GERBER of antenna layout (if applicable)
- 2D/3D radiation plots and S-parameter graphs
- PDF design report (3–5 pages) with:
- Objective summary
- Frequency tuning notes
- Performance results and limitations
🛠Preferred Tools:
- CST Microwave Studio (preferred)
- ANSYS HFSS
- Altair FEKO
- Optional: MATLAB/Python for post-processing plots
